Nairn Beach and Harbour

A beautiful beach with views across the waters of the Moray Firth

Nairn beach is a beautiful sandy beach, with sights of dolphins and popular with water sports enthusiasts.

Nairn central beach stretches from The Nairn Golf Club all the way to the Harbour at Fishertown. Towards the West End near the Golf Club the beach contains rock pools and gradually fades to more white sand the more towards Fishertown you go. No matter what time of year it is, you will often see paddle boarders, kite surfers or swimmers braving that cold water. The central beach stops at the harbour with great views over the Moray Firth at the pier and lighthouse. Notably, a colony of dolphins are frequently spotted from the beach and Nairn harbour.

Beyond the lighthouse, Nairn East beach continues across the coast eastwards and contains a wide expanse of clean sand which are backed by sand dunes. This beach is perfect to walk along when the tide is in or out, where you can continue on towards Kingsteps before cutting into Culbin forest.
