About me

Hi! My name is Jake and I am a Digital Creator based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I have an interest in creating apps and websites. This all started back in 2018 when I completed my masters in Geographical Information Science at Edinburgh University. I thoroughly enjoyed coding map based projects and visualising data. I also love spending time outdoors, and when I am not at home coding I am riding my bike through the woods or walking along the coast taking photos.

Notably, I wanted to take two of the things I most enjoyed doing and combine them together into a single project. This is what gave me the idea for this website. My goal is to map my favourite places or new places I plan on visiting, showcasing their natural beauty. I feel very lucky to be living somewhere that offers so much of this! I have spent a lot of time creating this website and I hope to add new features over time.
